For years, I worked closely with homeowners as an interior styling consultant, helping people rethink their living spaces.
What started as conversations about paint colors or furniture layouts often turned into something much bigger.
A friend of mine once asked me, “How do I make my living room feel more warm and cozy?” and we started talking about spaces that support intentional living.
Someone redecorating their bedroom might ask about creating better morning routines.
A discussion of a kitchen redesign could easily shift into healthier cooking habits or wardrobe organization for a new stage of life.
And so on.
I began noticing a pattern: our homes, our habits, and our personal style are deeply connected.
But the internet often treats these topics separately. One website talks about decor, another about food, another about beauty, and another about fashion.
Yet in real life, these decisions influence one another. That realization led me to create TheSoulNook.
A nook is a cozy corner, somewhere comfortable, thoughtful, and uniquely yours. When I thought about the kind of content I wanted this site to represent, that image kept coming back to me.
Not a perfect house. Not an unrealistic lifestyle. Just a place where people can find practical ideas to make everyday living feel better.
The “soul” part comes from something I believe strongly: the things we surround ourselves with (our homes, our routines, the meals we cook, the way we care for ourselves) should reflect who we are and how we want to feel.
Most people aren’t looking for complicated lifestyle advice. They’re looking for answers to everyday questions like:
These are the kinds of real-life pain points TheSoulNook focuses on. Our content centers around five core areas of daily life:
While home design is my professional background, I strongly believe that good advice should come from people who truly work in the field they’re writing about.
Over time, I connected with chefs, nutrition specialists, stylists, skincare professionals, contractors, and beauty experts, many of whom I met through projects, collaborations, or shared professional networks.
They now contribute their expertise to different sections of the site so that readers get experience-driven insights from people who deal with these topics every day.
We believe good lifestyle advice should be:
Small improvements, whether it’s choosing a better paint color, learning a new recipe, or building a skincare routine, can make daily life feel more comfortable and enjoyable.
Thank you for spending time in our little corner of the internet!
Lots of love,
